Er. Shrawan Thakur

I am Shrawan Thakur, a PhD researcher at Kathmandu University, supported by the University Grants Commission (UGC) Nepal PhD Fellowship and Research Support Grant. I also work as an IoT Researcher at the IoT Research and Development (IoT R&D) Laboratory, where I conduct research in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Edge Computing, Intelligent Systems, and Embedded AI. My work focuses on designing intelligent, data-driven solutions for real-world applications, including smart infrastructure, environmental monitoring, disaster early warning systems, and intelligent automation.

I hold a Master of Engineering in Computer Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Nepal College of Information Technology (NCIT), Pokhara University, Nepal. My undergraduate project, "Robotic Junction," was awarded Best Project of the Year. My current PhD research is titled "Real-Time Audio Segmentation and Copyright-Aware Track Identification Using Embedded Artificial Intelligence," which explores embedded AI techniques for real-time audio processing and copyright-aware music recognition. I am passionate about advancing AI, IoT, and intelligent systems through innovative research and developing technologies that create meaningful impact for society.
